Hello everyone! Today we will learn about the recruitment process for Joseon technicians.
As the shipbuilding and marine industries have recently become more active, various efforts have become necessary to secure excellent talent.
There are two ways to hire foreigners residing in the country: the F-2-R visa and the E-7-3 visa.
Today we will learn about how to get hired with an E-7-3 visa.
(1) E-7-3 Visa (General Skilled Worker)
- The E-7-3 visa is for the introduction of foreign workers with specialized knowledge, skills or abilities to enhance national competitiveness.
This visa is issued to foreigners who wish to work in fields designated as particularly necessary. The shipbuilding industry issues visas to three types of industries.
- Ship Welder (7430), Ship Painter (78369), Ship Electrical Engineer (76212)
(2) E-7-3 Method of introducing foreign workers to the shipbuilding industry
① Entry through an overseas dispatch company
- Foreigners who wish to work in the shipbuilding industry through a dispatch company must have qualifications in the fields of FCAW, GMAW, and GRAW welding technology.
Must have at least 2 years of experience after obtaining the qualification and must pass the Marine Plant Association skills verification
■ D-4-6 (Excellent Private Educational Institution) → Changed to E-7
- If a foreigner does not have a qualification, academic background, or work experience, he or she can enroll in a domestic private educational institution and complete the course.
E-7-3 visa can be changed
※ If you have received training from an educational institution, you meet the requirements to change your status to an E-7-3 visa.
② Application for E-7 visa for domestic science and engineering graduates
- Foreign students who graduated from science and engineering departments in Korea are exempt from practical ability test when changing E-7-3 visas.
※ Graduates (including prospective graduates) of science and engineering departments related to shipbuilding
(3) Qualification criteria for demand companies (employers)
- Satisfying three requirements among shipyards, ship-related block manufacturers, and shipbuilding equipment companies
①. Average annual sales for the past year of 1 billion won or more.
