□ Business location
- The business must be located within the relevant region (Goseong-gun, Hoengseong-gun).
□Recruitment requirements (salary)
- The recruitment requirements are as follows.
① The number of foreign employees is 50% of the number of domestic employees* on the employment insurance subscriber list (maximum 20 people).
(People who have been enrolled in employment insurance for more than 3 months and meet the minimum wage)
② The total salary stated in the employment contract must be at least 70% of the previous year’s Gross National Income (GNI).
※ 2023 GNI per capita: KRW 44,051,000 → 70% of GNI per capita: KRW 30,835,700
③ Employment must commence within 3 months from the date of application and the employment contract period must be at least 1 year.
④ The employer and user must be the same and must belong to a job placement agency, personnel dispatch agency, etc.
Employment in the form of daily wages or dispatched workers is not permitted.
⑤ Changes in the workplace within 1 year after a change in the qualifications of a foreign worker are restricted.
(However, if it is difficult to find employment in the same workplace or industry due to closure or suspension of business, etc., and a recommendation is received from the local government, a change in workplace or industry is permitted.)
□ Residence of foreign workers
- Foreign workers must continue to reside within the recommended area (Hoengseong-gun, Goseong-gun).
- You must reside in the recommended area for the first two years from the date of approval, and after two years, you can move to an approved area (another population-declining area within the same metropolitan government).
□ Application Guide
- Documents to be submitted include application for employment, business registration certificate, confirmation letter, employment insurance subscriber list, etc.
The employment insurance subscriber list is checked to see if it exceeds 50% (maximum 20 people) of the number of domestic employees.
