Foreign Medical Coordinator (E-7) Visa Information

The easiest way to obtain a medical coordinator visa is to complete the International Medical Tourism Coordinator Professional Course (Certificate) and the Medical Interpreter Professional Course (Certificate).

 

□ Medical Coordinator (E-7-2) Visa Support Qualifications

1. Foreigners who hold health and medical professional licenses such as doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, or who have graduated from a health and medical department with an associate's degree or higher

2. A foreigner who graduated from a domestic university with a bachelor's degree or higher and completed the international medical coordinator specialized course or medical interpretation specialized course under the Korea Health and Welfare Human Resources Development Institute Act.

3. Foreigners who have obtained the 'International Medical Tourism Coordinator' qualification as prescribed in the National Technical Qualifications Act.

4. Foreigners who have obtained a ‘Medical Interpretation Proficiency Test Certificate’ according to Article 13 of the ‘Medical Overseas Expansion Act’

 

□ Medical Coordinator (E-7-2) Foreign language and Korean, residency requirements

1. The six foreign languages ​​that can be supported by the International Medical Coordinator are English/Chinese/Russian/Arabic/Mongolian/Vietnamese.

2. The seven foreign languages ​​that can be supported by the medical interpretation specialist course are English/Chinese/Japanese/Russian/Arabic/Mongolian/Vietnamese.

3. To apply for the International Medical Coordinator Specialization Course, only those with a TOPIK Level 4 or higher (having resided in Korea for more than 5 years) can apply. To apply for the Medical Interpreter Specialization Course, only those with a TOPIK Level 3 or higher (having resided in Korea for more than 3 years) can apply.

 

□ Medical Coordinator (E-7-2) Specialized Course Subjects

1. The specialized course for international medical coordinators consists of medical understanding, medical services, administrative services, international medical scenarios, orientation, and completion exams.

2. The medical interpretation specialized course consists of subjects such as medical services, medical understanding, medical systems, and interpretation ethics.

 

□ Completion criteria for international medical coordinator and medical professional interpreter courses

1. International medical coordinators must attend at least 80% of the non-face-to-face distance education and complete 100% of the e-learning course to complete the course.

2. The medical interpretation course requires attendance of at least 80% of live training, 100% completion of e-learning courses, and a score of at least 60 points on the written and practical completion exams.

 

□ E-7 Visa Issuance Requirements
