Technology Startup Visas are granted to foreigners who meet the following conditions:
In the case of domestic universities, the applicant must have obtained an associate's degree or higher, a bachelor's degree or higher from abroad, or be recommended by a relevant central administrative agency.
You must possess intellectual property rights or equivalent technical skills.
In addition to these, there may be additional conditions, such as having a startup item selected for a government-supported project, establishing a corporation in Korea, and completing business registration.
The requirements for obtaining a technology startup visa are summarized as follows:
● Degree Requirements: Must have a bachelor's degree or higher.
● Oasis Program: You must participate in the Oasis Program operated by the Global Entrepreneurship Immigration Center and obtain at least 80 points.
● Incorporation: You must establish a corporation within the Republic of Korea and complete business registration.
You must meet these three conditions to apply for a technology startup visa.
Startup Preparation Visa (D-10-2)
The Startup Preparation Visa is a visa for prospective entrepreneurs preparing to start a technology business. A certificate of completion of at least one Oasis course is required, and the residence qualification can be changed or extended based on the business preparation performance for 4 sessions of 6 months each (up to 2 years).
If you want to start a technology startup in Korea, you can apply for a technology startup visa (D-8-4) through the startup preparation visa. D-10-2, D-8-4 VISA can only be applied for by OASIS participants, and is issued for one year initially, and can be extended annually while conducting business.
